DBR-AT Somatic Interweave Training

 Facilitated by Martin Warner

Bali, June 2027

This 5-day residential immersion offers a rare opportunity for DBR practitioners to learn through direct, embodied experience of the somatic interweaves developed by Martin Warner, in close collaboration with Dr Frank Corrigan, the founder of Deep Brain Reorienting.  Practitioners will be guided through the precise somatic interventions that help  the body and brain release their blocks to healing and discovery what becomes possible when client attunement is not just a concept but a living, embodied presence.

As practitioners, we spend so much of our lives holding space for others. This immersion offers a chance to be held yourself — in gentle luxury, a tropical climate, peaceful and beautiful surroundings, and warm Balinese hospitality. A place for you to be nurtured and nourished as deeply as your DBR-AT skills.

Through this 5-day immersion, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Strengthen your capacity to simply be—fully present, here and now—and experience the profound benefits this brings to both daily life and clinical work.

  •  Deepen your attunement to yourself and your clients. As your own system softens, you can begin to meet your clients from a different quality of presence: steadier, quieter, and clearer. This shift naturally supports more precise, attuned facilitation of DBR.

  • Develop advanced observational skills to recognise where your client is at, and to learn to recognise the subtle movement patterns that signal bracing, armouring, and other obstructions to healing.

  •  Experience how the somatic interweaves dismantle the layers of bracing and armouring that form around shock, emotional pain, and affect due to adverse experiences, attachment wounds, and trauma.

  • Cultivate the capacity to safely resolve these obstructions so that shock, affect, and the deeper layers beneath them can fully release—and healing can flow.

  •  Receive the interweaves yourself. This immersion offers direct, personal experience of the interweaves applied to your own system. This is where the most profound learning occurs, and why the AT somatic interweaves are spreading so rapidly through the DBR practitioner communities.

Deep therapeutic attunement isn’t a technique — it’s a state of being. When the DBR therapist is fully earthed in their own body, attuned to their inner movement, and no longer as braced or amoured against shock, affect or emotional pain, their presence become the foundation of healing for their client.

This work is grounded in Martin Warner’s decades of experience and expertise in the  Alexander Technique, and his 14-year collaboration with Dr Frank Corrigan, the founder of Deep Brain Reorienting.

There is a sense of harmony and reverence in Balinese life that can be felt without effort. A culture imbued with daily offerings, gentle movements, and a natural rhythm of prayer and balance creates an atmosphere that encourages the body to soften and the mind to settle. Many notice that this cultural backdrop helps them arrive more fully in themselves, making space for deeper attunement, presence, and healing.

7–11 June (Workshop Days)

Who is the training for?

This immersion is designed for practitioners who have completed formal DBR training (Level 1 and above) and who are ready to deepen their attunement, refine their clinical skill, enhance their perceptual sensitivity, expand their somatic literacy, support their own healing and presence, and learn the DBR-AT somatic interweaves directly from their source.

Important note: The AT somatic interweaves are powerful interventions and careful attention to their safe use beyond the training is essential. For this reason, Level 3 DBR training is recommended as the foundation for applying the somatic interweaves safely in clinical practice. Practitioners at any level of DBR training can, however, benefit profoundly from the opportunity to deepen their presence, attunement, and observational precision through this immersion.

Venue and Accomodation

This residential immersion was designed for a small group to live, learn, and deepen the work together in one shared, contained space tucked quietly among Canggu’s rice fields. The day-long workshops will be held at the accommodation residence, Dea Villas, a private sanctuary of Balinese luxury—elegant pavilions, tranquil gardens, shimmering pools, and attentive staff creating an atmosphere of ease and spaciousness. The entire villa compound has been reserved to provide an intimate, beautifully curated setting that supports rest, depth, and the kind of inner work this immersion is designed for. We have been told there will be no guests outside our immersion group staying at the residence during this time. There will be an option to choose a single or shared rooms.

Just a short walk to the beach, a short drive to Seminyak’s boutique shopping and dining, and not far from the iconic ocean-temple of Tanah Lot.
